God the Creator - God the Father: Part 10 of 13

Preview: An introduction to the God of Creation; the only true God. This is the tenth part of a thirteen-part series of lessons on this subject.


Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 3:11-19.

Memory Verse: Jeremiah 3:22.

1. Did God still acknowledge that He was Israel’s Father in the foregoing Scriptures in spite of the fact that they had backslidden into all kinds of evil practices?
2. Was Hosea a witness to this? Hosea 1:10-11, Hosea 11:1-2, Hosea 14:1, Hosea 14:4 & Hosea 14:9.
Note: Because God is true to His promises He is still willing to save Israel when they repent and accept Jesus as their Lord even though they became wicked and vain in their ways, even to worshipping idols, and forgot God, their Father.
3. How do we know that Jesus is the begotten Son of God? Luke 1:26-35 & Matthew 1:18-21.
4. Did Paul declare Jesus to be the first begotten Son of God? Hebrews 1:1-2 & Hebrews 1:4-6.
5. Did John say that Jesus was the only begotten Son? John 1:14.
6. Did God the Father declare that Jesus was His Son? Matthew 3:16-17.
7. How can we become sons of God? John 1:11-13.
Note: Because of Abraham’s faithfulness, God elected His offspring (Israel) to be His chosen people. Jesus Christ was God’s Son before He was born of woman. We become sons of God through a spiritual birth made possible by Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.
8. How did Peter explain this? I Peter 1:20-23.
9. How did Paul explain it? Galatians 1:1, Galatians 1:3-4 & Galatians 4:4-7.
10. Will we be holy if we are sons of God? I Peter 1:3 & I Peter 1:13-19.
