God the Creator - In the Beginning: Part 1 of 13

Preview: An introduction to the God of Creation; the only true God. This is the first of a thirteen-part series of lessons on this subject.


Pre-reading: Job 38:1-41 & Job 39:1-30.

Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:1-25.

Memory Verse: Genesis 2:1.

1. Who, according to the foregoing Scripture Reading and Memory Verse, was the Creator of Heaven, the earth, the sea, and all who inhabits them? How long did it take?
Note: Today, man and Satan would have you believe that this world came into existence with a big bang, and that man evolved from a tadpole. Evolution is taught in our public schools as fact while the true story of creation is prohibited.
2. Did man evolve or was he created in God’s image? Genesis 1:26-31 & Genesis 2:7.
3. Why is it a sin to shed man’s blood? Genesis 9:6.
4. Did Hezekiah and the Psalmist proclaim God as Creator? II Kings 19:15 & Psalm 146:5-6.
5. Did Job and Nehemiah testify to this? Job 9:1-2, Job 9:7-10 & Nehemiah 9:6.
6. What other knowledge did Job have concerning the creation and the Creator? Job 12:7-10 & Job 26:1 & Job 26:5-14.
7. Was there much more that Job did not know in spite of his vast knowledge? Job 36:1-5, Job 36:26-32 & Job 37:5.
8. Did God tell Job how little man knows about His greatness? Job 38:1-12.
Note: Suggested Scripture Reading at home: Job 38:1-41 & Job 39:1-30
9. What lesson did Job learn in his conversation with God? Job 40:1-5 & Job 42:1-6.
Note: This is the same lesson that God wants the Church (the body of Christ) to learn. We need to seek daily for spiritual wisdom and understanding so that we might know how limitless His greatness is.
10. What will God do for us when we truly repent of self and trust in His righteousness? Job 33:26-30.
