Preview: This is the ninth is a nine-part series of lessons entitled: FEAR.
Scripture Reading: Matthew 10:5-33.
Memory Verse: Matthew 10:39.
1. Do we find in the foregoing Scriptures that a complete faith in God is encouraged regardless of how the circumstances appear?
2. What are the characteristics of those who fear the Lord? Proverbs 2:1-11.
3. Will it keep us from fellowshipping with wicked men and women? Proverbs 2:12-20.
4. What is the result when we know these things and lose our fear for God? Romans 1:21-32.
Note: This is the condition that is sweeping the world today. Man has lost his fear of the Lord. When we fear God, we avoid evil and its appearance. When this fear is gone, we embrace sin and sometimes do not even know it.
5. Why did God choose Levi for the priesthood? Malachi 2:4-7.
6. What happened when they lost this fear? Malachi 2:8-13.
7. Did they realize that they had departed from God? Malachi 2:14-17.
8. Can we fear God and have sin in our hearts and lives? Proverbs 8:13, Proverbs 8:17 & Proverbs 16:5-6.
9. Can we expect honor without obedience? Proverbs 15:31-33.
10. What is the conclusive proof that we fear God? Ecclesiastes 12:13.
Note: There is only one way to Christ (who is our salvation) and that is a total and complete commitment to our willing obedience to God.
