Preview: Daniel’s prophetic dream of the four beasts is dissected in four lessons.

Scripture Reading: Daniel 7:1-13.

Memory Verse: Daniel 8:9-10.

1. Are the ten toes of the metallic image related to the ten horns on the fourth beast? Daniel 2:43 & Daniel 7:24.
2. Is the fourth beast described in Daniel 7:23-24 related to the beast that John saw while standing on the sand of the sea? Revelation 13:1-2.
3. What was the character of the little horn? Daniel 7:25.
Note: The little horn which plucked up three horns was the Church of Rome. She exercised great spiritual power over the other kingdoms. Three kings fell before this little horn. The Pope has lost much of his temporal power over the kingdoms of the world, but his spiritual power is unlimited. The Pope is reigning over some 400,000,000 people, and he is now trying to unite all protestant churches through the Catholic Fold.
4. What sudden change will take place during the life-time of the clay and iron kingdoms? Daniel 2:44.
5. What great display of judgment did Daniel see, and what became of the earthly kingdoms? Daniel 7:9-10.
6. To whom will these earthly kingdoms be given? Daniel 7:18.
7. Where will Jesus and the saints reign- in Heaven or on earth- after the fall of earthly kingdoms? Daniel 7:27 & Revelation 5:9-10.
Note: This will be the fifth universal kingdom on earth. It will be a literal kingdom with Jesus as King over immortal rulers and immortal subjects (the saints of God). It will last for a thousand years. At the end of this period of time there will be the second resurrection and the great white throne judgment when death and hell shall be cast into the lake of fire. Death itself shall die, praise the Lord!
