Preview: A study of how, why, and when we should witness for God. This is the eighth lesson in a thirteen-part series on this subject.

Pre-reading: Romans 12:1-21 & I Peter 1:13-25.

Scripture Reading: Romans 3:10-26.

Memory Verse: I John 1:8.

1. Who needs salvation according to the foregoing Scripture Reading and Memory Verse?
Note: Since all have sinned and come short of God’s glory, all stand in need of forgiveness. Therefore, the first step in witnessing is to help sinners to see their lost condition.
2. Is there any peace for sinners? Isaiah 57:20-21.
3. Will sinners one day face the wrath and condemnation of a just God? John 3:18, John 3:36.
4. What is the final punishment for unforgiven sin? John 8:24, Romans 6:23, II Thessalonians 1:7-9 & Revelation 21:8.
Note: How could any born again child of God not have a compelling desire to warn those who are heading for that Lake of Fire?
5. Is it God’s will that all should repent and be saved? Romans 5:6, Romans 5:8 & John 3:16.
6. How did the death of Jesus ransom us from death? Isaiah 53:5-6 & I Peter 1:18-19.
7. Was the death of Jesus an agonizing experience? Luke 22:44 & Matthew 27:46.
Note: Let us witness to the depth of God’s love for man. It was our sins for which Christ died, and it was our sins that were nailed to the cross. It was our sins that caused God the Father to turn His back on Jesus because sin will always separate man from God. So if God spared not His own Son, because of our sin, there is no hope for man aside from repentance, and receiving God’s gift of redemption.
8. How did Peter explain the benefits we receive from Jesus’ sacrifice? I Peter 2:24.
9. How did Paul bear witness to this sacrifice? Romans 5:6-11.
10. How great is God’s love for man according to John’s testimony? I John 4:10-12 & I John 4:16.
Note: There could be no greater love. Let us also dedicate our life to service to God so that we may declare Him to the world. We are called to be a living sacrifice.
