Preview: Patience is a virtue that we, as Christians, are required to possess in order to achieve the will of the Lord.


Scripture Reading: Revelation 2:1-3 & Revelation 2:18-19.

Memory Verse: Revelation 3:10.

1. Discuss the positive aspects of the Churches mentioned in the foregoing Scriptures.
2. What has the Bible to say concerning patience? Ecclesiastes 7:8, I Thessalonians 5:14 & Luke 21:19.
3. What contrast is drawn between the patient and the hasty in spirit? Proverbs 14:29.
4. Who is cited as an example of patience? James 5:10-11.
5. Is salvation possible without patience? James 1:3-4, James 1:12 & James 1:19-20.
6. What does the trying of faith work? Romans 5:3.
7. What virtue is added to temperance, or self-control? II Peter 1:4-7.
8. Why is this spiritual addition essential? II Peter 1:8-10.
9. Why are we exhorted to patience? James 1:4.
10. What important test of perfection of character is given? James 3:2.
11. How are we exhorted to run the Christian race? Hebrews 12:1-2.
12. Why must we do this? Hebrews 12:3-8.

Note: Without patience it will be impossible to enter the Kingdom of God.
