Preview: This is the second of a four-part series of lessons entitled: LAWS BY WHICH MAN LIVES.


Scripture Reading: Hebrews 13:1-17.

Memory Verse: Hebrews 2:1.

1. Can we see from the foregoing Scriptures the importance of obedience and respect, not only for God, but also for those who have authority over us? Discuss.
2. Why is Christian fellowship and counseling essential to our spiritual growth? Hebrews 3:12-14 & Hebrews 10:24-25.
3. How are we to know the laws by which man should live? II Timothy 2:15 & Acts 17:11.
Note: Godly teachers, preachers, counselors, etc. are essential, but we must search the Scriptures to make sure that their teachings are true.
4. What laws must we live by according to the teachings of Jesus? Matthew 19:16-19.
5. Must our life here be one of service to others if we are to obtain eternal life? Matthew 20:27-28.
6. What example must God’s servants present? I Thessalonians 2:4-8 & II Timothy 2:24-25.
7. Must the Gospel be preached with love, meekness, and gentleness? Explain. Titus 3:1-2 & James 3:17-18.
8. How was Paul an example of this? I Corinthians 10:31-33 & I Corinthians 11:1-2.
9. How was Jesus an example of Sabbath observance? Luke 4:16.
10. Did the apostles obey the fourth Commandment? Explain. Acts 13:13-14, Acts 13:42-44 & Acts 16:13.
Note: With Jews and Gentiles in the synagogues or by a river we find the apostles meeting to worship on the Sabbath. This was after Jesus returned to the Father.
