Preview: A lesson to facilitate group discussion on what the seven seals are and how they will be used. For further understanding this lesson should be followed with “The Sealing Message” and then “The Seventh Seal and the Trumpets.”
Scripture Reading: Revelation 6:1-8.
Memory Verse: Isaiah 5:5.
1. Discuss the first seal. Revelation 6:1-2.
2. Discuss the second seal. Revelation 6:3-4.
3. Discuss the third seal. Revelation 6:5-6.
4. Discuss the fourth seal. Revelation 6:7-8.
5. Discuss the fifth seal. Revelation 6:9-11. Consider Genesis 4:10.
Note: The fifth seal demands justice. Throughout history men have wondered why wickedness seems to always go unpunished. The fifth seal brings assurance that it will not.
6. Discuss the sixth seal. Revelation 6:12-13.
7. Discuss the second coming of Christ. Revelation 6:14-17.
Note: Before the opening of the seventh seal one great question must be answered, “Who shall be able to stand?”
