Scripture Reading: Colossians 1:9-19.

Memory Verse: John 1:1.

1. With what information does the Bible begin? Genesis 1:1.
2. What was the condition that existed? Genesis 1:2.
3. How did time begin? Genesis 1:3-5.
4. Will time end? Revelation 10:5-6.
Note: As we study the Word of God let us remember that the Scripture is given to guide us in the midst of time. Very little is revealed to us about what happened before time began, and what will happen after time ends. This would not be true if that knowledge would contribute to our salvation. Our primary concern should be to make proper use of time.
5. What did God create the fourth day? Genesis 1:14-19.
Note: When scientists speak of the universe being so many millions of years old the terminology is faulty. There were no years prior to the beginning of time.
6. What did God do at the end of creation? Genesis 2:1-3.
7. Did God prepare a place for man? Genesis 2:8.
8. Did God think it best for man to be alone? Genesis 2:18 & Genesis 2:21-24.
9. What was God’s command to Adam? Genesis 2:16-17.
10. Did Adam accept the fact that he was responsible for what he did? Genesis 3:11-12.
11. What did Eve blame? Genesis 3:13.
12. Did God put a curse on the serpent? Genesis 3:14.
13. Did God describe the conflict between Christ and the Church? Genesis 3:15.
Note: This is the first promise of a Savior. The woman is the Church, the seed is Christ.
