Note: Let us remember that God was with Joseph when he was sold into slavery, but he still suffered. God’s presence with us does not prevent us from suffering or being tried. He gives us strength to endure and overcome in all conditions.

Note: The noble character of Joseph is manifested by the fact that in the face of continuously unjust treatment he was not bitter. He was sold into slavery by his own brothers. His master’s wife attempted to seduce him. After she failed she lied about him and caused him to be put into a dungeon. In all this he remained obedient to God.
