Preview: The ability to perform and perceive true miracles is given to us by God through the Spirit. We must have perfect faith that He will be with us and anything is possible.

Scripture Reading: Genesis 7:1-13.

Memory Verse: I John 4:1.

1. Is the performance of miracles the sign whereby we recognize the servants of God? What is the sign? Isaiah 8:18-20.
2. How do the Scriptures describe those who call themselves Christians while they break God’s Commandments? I John 2:4.

Note: The children of God will not be deceived by miracles and wonders performed by those who endeavor to make themselves great in the eyes of men. Moses and his servants were not swallowed up by the deception of miracles wrought by Pharaoh’s servants. God proved through Moses that the powers in Heaven were greater than the powers in Egypt.
9. What happened when Aaron cast down his rod? Exodus 7:10.
10. Did Pharaoh’s servant perform a similar miracle? What was it? Exodus 7:11-12.
11. Who will talk about the coming of the Lord? Matthew 24:26.
Note: Our only safe guide is the Word of God. The Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths. Miracles are accepted if performed by the power of God (miracles performed by the power of God will compare with His Word). We are advised to prove all things and hold fast to that which is good.
