Preview: A lesson about the importance of faith in our daily lives with examples to show us the way.

Scripture Reading: Jude 1:1-9, Jude 1:20-25.

Memory Verse: I Peter 5:7.

1. What do we learn about perfect faith from the Scripture Reading and Memory Verse?
2. Why did David proclaim this kind of faith? Psalm 37:3-5.
3. What did the following witnesses teach us about perfect faith?
    A. Jeremiah: Jeremiah 32:17-19.
    B. John: Matthew 3:1-2, Matthew 3:9.
    C. Jesus: Matthew 19:24-26.
    D. The angels: Luke 1:34-37.
Note: Would we have greater blessings if we would earnestly contend for the faith that the saints of old had? God can do the impossible!
4. What kind of attitude must accompany our faith? Matthew 8:2-3, Matthew 26:39.
Note: We must accept God’s will.
5. Why do you think the Lord is pleased when we trust Him to do the impossible? Matthew 8:5-10.
6. How do we obtain this kind of faith? Matthew 17:19-21.
Note: Jesus told the disciples that their faith was weak for lack of preparation (prayer and fasting). May God help us all to seek and find this perfect faith.
7. Why is this essential to our salvation? James 1:5-8.
8. Did Peter have faith to walk on the water in the beginning? What gave him the strength? Matthew 14:25-29.
9. Why did he fail? Matthew 14:30-31.
Note: We are often like Peter, we come to Christ believing that He can and will save us. We think we have trusted all to Him, then the storms of life confront us; fear arises and we begin to doubt. We must firmly believe that God’s promises will never fail.
