OLD TESTAMENT NEW TESTAMENT  AS CHANGED BY THE PAPACY
I
Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3.
I
…Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve. Matthew 4:10.

I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not have strange gods before Me.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. I John 5:21.   Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. Acts 17:29.

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. (It will be observed that the second commandment as found in the Bible is left out.)

Remember that thou keep holy the Sabbath day. “A Doctrinal Catechism” (Catholic) page 174, has the following question and answer:“Q. Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?” “A. Had she not such power…she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.”

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 20:8-11.

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day. Matthew 24:20. …The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. Mark 2:27-28. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. Hebrews 4:4. There remaineth therefore a rest (or: a keeping of a Sabbath- see margin) to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Hebrews 4:9-10. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth... Colossians 1:16.

“For as the NEW HEAVENS and the NEW EARTH, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one SABBATH to another, shall all flesh come to WORSHIP before me, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 66:22-23.
“…that man of sin…Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” II Thessalonians 2:3-4.

HIS NAME

 

“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the NAME of the beast, or the number of HIS NAME.” Revelation 13:17.
